I started taking pictures and making films at a young age.  I've always been intrigued with images that have a mystery to them. I believe that when our eyes find the image there should be a question, a hint of the unknown. I want the viewer to look and not necessarily see the intentions, maybe they will look a little longer.

The beginnings of my career in filmmaking began at the age on 10.  My first efforts were in Super 8, and the subjects ranged from Vampires to Cowboys.  I continued until I started making 16mm short films by the time I was 16.  During this time, I worked a few summers with a commercial production company, it was here that I developed an interest in commercial spot work.  After that, I went on to work as a cameraman / editor for a local TV station. My next move was on to a film equipment rental house.  I took that direction as a means of  having access to film equipment to produce my own short films.  During my 8 years in that end of the business, with the help of an AFI grant I produced four short films.

During the past 27 years I have worked as Director/DP on numerous projects for clients such as Bellsouth, Dodge, Jefferson Pilot Insurance, Remington, Belks Department stores,Carolinas Health Care, Lowes Foods and more. Awards include several Addys, Emmy, Promax Silver Medallion and  Telly awards.

My philosophy on what I do is to prepare as much as possible and have a good time and do great work.
